Who is Joseph?
Joseph is our founder's 7-year-old son, and he is autistic. Long before he could tell us what bothered him, his body told us through tags that felt like sandpaper, seams he could not stop touching, and fabrics that made bedtime feel impossible. We Luv U Joseph was born from a mother's determination to find clothing that actually felt good to him. Every product we create begins with one question: Would Joseph want to wear this?
What makes We Luv U Joseph different from other kids clothing brands?
We are not a fashion brand. We are a comfort brand. We start with the fabric, not the print, not the trend. Every collection is built around three textures Joseph reaches for first: velvet-touch fleece for snug pajamas, buttery drape modal for button-down sets, and brushed stretch cotton for loungewear. We also prioritize tag-free labeling, flat-lock seams, and natural fibers because we believe every child deserves to feel comfortable, calm, and cozy every day.
Are your products only for autistic children?
Not at all. While our brand was inspired by Joseph's sensory needs, our products are thoughtfully designed for any child or adult who values softness, comfort, and quality. Our clothing is made for families who believe comfort matters.
Fabrics and Materials
What fabrics do you use?
We build every collection around three carefully chosen natural fiber families:
- Velvet-Touch Fleece - A plush brushed pile perfect for snug-fit pajama sets. Soft, warm, and comforting for children who love that cozy hugged feeling.
- Buttery Drape Modal - Silky, fluid, and naturally breathable. Our modal sets move with the body and stay soft wash after wash.
- Brushed Stretch Cotton - Soft, stretchy, and breathable natural cotton with just enough give for play, lounging, and everything in between.
Why do you avoid 100% polyester?
Most children's clothing today is made from 100% polyester, which is essentially a synthetic plastic fiber worn directly against your child's skin. Polyester traps heat, does not breathe well, and can be scratchy or irritating for sensitive skin. We choose natural fibers whenever possible because they are breathable, gentle, and better for your child's body and our planet.
Are your fabrics safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our fabrics are chosen specifically for their gentle feel and skin-friendly properties. Every child's sensory experience is unique. If your child has specific fabric allergies or skin conditions, we recommend checking the full fabric composition listed on each product page.
Are your products sustainable?
Sustainability is a core value for us. We choose lower-impact natural fibers, work with responsible factories in Vietnam, the Philippines, and India, and design products built to last because quality over quantity is better for families and for our planet.
Sizing and Fit
How do I choose the right size for my child?
Each product page includes a detailed size guide. We recommend measuring your child's chest, waist, and height for the most accurate fit. If your child is between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up, especially for sensory-sensitive children who prefer a looser, more comfortable fit.
Do your kids and adult styles fit true to size?
Yes, our sizing runs true to size. For children who prefer a snugger fit, common for sensory seekers who like compression, size down. For children who prefer loose and unrestricted clothing, size up.
Do you offer family matching sets?
Yes! We believe comfort is something families can share. We offer coordinating styles for kids and adults so the whole family can feel cozy together.
Orders and Shipping
How long does it take to process my order?
Orders are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days after payment is received and verified. You will receive an email confirmation once your order has shipped.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free shipping on all U.S. orders over $100.
Do you ship internationally?
We may offer international shipping to select countries. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT fees, or other government-imposed charges. These fees are not included in product or shipping prices.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking information. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking updates to appear.
Returns and Refunds
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 3 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unwashed, unused, free of stains or odors, and have all original tags and anti-tampering tags attached. A 25% restocking fee applies to all approved returns. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
What items cannot be returned?
The following items are non-returnable: final sale items, clearance merchandise marked Final Sale, gift cards, customized or personalized products, items returned outside the 3-day window, and products showing signs of wear, washing, or use.
My order arrived damaged or incorrect. What do I do?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at heymom@weluvujoseph.com with your order number, photos of the item, and photos of the packaging. Please ensure the anti-tampering tag is still attached. We are unable to honor returns or refunds without it.
Do you offer exchanges?
At this time we do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size or item, please return the eligible item and place a new order.
